The Origins of this site.
This site is the home of Telematica, Inc., a company formed in
1982 by Rich Miller to provide strategic commercial and technical consulting in the (then) emerging areas that united telecommunication
and computing. Since 1999, Telematica has been a holding company, the consultancy practice having been assumed by Breo Ventures
and then Breo Consulting.
In 2004, Rich co-founded Univa Corporation and, after putting it on a solid footing, returned to Silicon Valley and yet another startup.
As an unapologetic enthusiast of networked applications, services
and gadgets, Rich decided to restore the site for the purpose of providing his views, opinions, rants and screeds on the industry
and his other interests.
